In all sectors of life—healthcare, law, finance, manufacturing, government, telecommunication companies, and so on—information is the driving force behind the growth and development of organizations and societies. Information is embedded in even the simplest of transactions, and it is integral to making any organization function effectively. Abundant job opportunities, therefore, exist for Telecommunication Science graduates in all types of organizations in all economic sectors where data, information created, processed, are transferred or disseminated through telecommunication infrastructure. Some of the specific areas Information and Communication Science graduates have been gainfully employed in Nigeria and overseas include the IT industries, telecommunication firms, banking and finance organizations, the public service, non-governmental organizations, academic institutions, research and consultancy firms, project management consulting firms, etc.
Five ‘O’ Level credits in SSCE/NECO/GCE/Equivalent to include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and any of Further Mathematics, Technical Drawing, Economics, and Geography. UME subjects – English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
In addition to UTME entry requirements:
‘A’ Level passes in Mathematics, Physics, and any one of the following subjects: Chemistry, Biology, and Geography. Candidates with Upper Credit in the National Diploma (ND) and a minimum of one-year post-qualification industrial attachment in the physical sciences and engineering disciplines may be considered.
